5 Peaceful spots to work and study in Singapore

COMMUNITY CENTRES
If you prefer to finish your overdue essays in the neighborhood area, just head over to the nearest Community center from your house! Most CCs have a study room, which are available for public use. It's peaceful, quiet, and you don't have to compete for seats! Since some CC might require membership check first before you proudly walk in with your bulky books and laptop! Alternatively, you can make a turn to the libraries in the heartland areas.

NATIONAL LIBRARY
This is a no-brainer, but it's still worth mentioning! Some of us may have forgotten that this majestic building is the ultimate spot to do your last minute essays. With an indefinite source of reference, free wi-fi, seats, power socket, and air conditioner, the NLB is like a natural student magnet.
Just be ready to fight for spots during the major exam periods! Some dedicated students will be there before 9AM to chope the best seats. So if you're a sleepy head, be prepared to sit on the floor (yes, it's carpeted).

SINGAPORE MANAGEMENT UNIVERSITY
Don't think that all the groups of youngsters studying there are from SMU. They might be students of Lasalle, NAFA, or Kaplan in disguise!
The benches around the prestigious uni are the gems for students all over Bras Basah, Dhoby Ghaut, and Bugis area. Although you need to make friends with the SMU students to get the wi-fi password, it's still one of the best spots around town to study without any disturbance. If all your tactics to get the sacred password failed, there's always Wireless@SG!

CHANGI AIRPORT
Our favorite spot ever. It's 24-hours, free wi-fi, and nobody really cares if you sit on the floor with your books and laptop on the seats. Some tourists might find it amusing or absurd, but power socket and assignment deadlines are more important than a few weird looks, anyway!

SCHOOL AREAS
No other place in this world is more conducive than the school you're attending. If you're bored of your own institution, you can always snoop around other polytechnics and universities as there will be plenty of open space, study corners (floor counts) and power sockets around, waiting for you to occupy them. However, you might not be able to enter their library as some schools would require student card to access, like Temasek Poly.
